Acupuncture School in Georgia - GA

The National Health Interview Survey of 2002 showed than an estimated 8.2 million American adults had used acupuncture, and the practice has only grown in popularity and acceptance in the years since as people seek to reduce their reliance on pharmaceutical drugs and invasive medical procedures. Consequently, the demand for skilled, highly trained acupuncturists has grown rapidly, and is projected to continue to increase in coming years. Acupuncture in Georgia has largely been based in major cities like Atlanta thus far, but is beginning to expand outwards as the practice becomes more and more mainstream.

If you’re interested in becoming an acupuncturist in Georgia, you’ll need to complete several years of education and training. Acupuncture courses and programs vary in focus and curriculum, but all focus on the holistic nature of health and the importance of energy flows in the body. Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide variety of health issues, from infertility to chronic pain to hyperactivity, using a combination of core techniques like needle insertion and supplementary treatments like herbal remedies. Most acupuncture schools include training both in the fundamentals of acupuncture and in specialized areas of care.

To date, the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine has accredited only one acupuncture school in Georgia.
