Acupuncture School in Ohio - OH

Robin McLennan, a licensed acupuncturist in Ohio reported there are about three million Americans who used acupuncture and Oriental medicine in 2007, which is 50% more than in 2002. This surge in the acceptance of acupuncture as a viable medical treatment has increased the demand for more acupuncture training programs. Acupuncture schools in Ohio are working to keep up with that demand. There are several online programs available, as well as local colleges offering different degree programs related to acupuncture.

One of the more common degree programs is the MS in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Other degrees include an MSA in Acupuncture, and a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Coursework includes:

  • Meridians Points
  • TCM Fundamentals

Each semester of school will typically include a clinical segment. Ohio hospitals such as Akron City Hospital may participate in clinical training. You also might try the Cleveland Clinic.
