There are several online options for one to pursue for a physical therapy degree in Alabama.
PTs must participate in at least 10 hours of continuing education each year and PTAs must participate in at least six hours. Hours in excess of the 10 and six can be carried forward to the next license renewal year. But no more than 10 for PT and six for PTA can be carried over at a time.
The state of Alabama Board of Physical Therapy counts any course offered by the APTA and its affiliates, as well as those from accredited PT and PTA school programs as continuing education credit. Many other home-study and on-site courses are approved, but if there is one you prefer, there is a form you can submit to request the Board consider its validity.
