Registered Nurses have excellent expected job growth in the coming years; however, it could fluctuate depending on geographic setting. This profession will rapidly grow through the next decade and at a rate much faster than average than any other profession. According to the U.S. Department of Labor and Statistics, registered nursing jobs will generate 587,000 new opportunities through 2016. This demand is due to the increasing population, health care needs, growing elderly population, technology advancement, preventive care and replacement of registered nurses.

RNs that are specialized may see an increase in their particular specialization. Also, those that hold a Bachelors degree or Masters Degree will have more opportunities within the RN industry.
