Dental Hygienist Military in Colorado

Dental specialists serve all branches of the army with dental care. A dental specialist in the military performs many of the same tasks and duties as a civilian dental assistant or dental hygienist. Dental specialist in the military undergo nine weeks of military Basic Training where they learn basic soldiering skills and 30 weeks of Advanced Individual Training which includes dental classroom education and hand-on dental experience. Upon completion of training, you will be qualified to obtain certification with either the American Medical Technologists as a Registered Dental Assistant or with the Dental Assisting National Board as a Certified Dental Assistant. You may also be eligible to use your GI Bill Benefit to continue your dental education and become a dental hygienist.
