Prerequisites for the Physician Assistant Program in Colorado

Students are required to have at least a 2.8 GPA overall and in science coursework with at least a grade of “C” or higher to be accepted by physician assistant schools in Colorado.  Some of the studies involved are learning basic facts, principles of physiology, concepts, immunology and pharmacology along with clinical problem solving skills, disease management and prevention.  Classes and coursework through physician assistant university in Colorado will involve studying anatomy, medical sciences, history and physical diagnosis, behavioral aspects of medicine, diagnostic methods, patient assessment, evidence-based medicine, surgery and emergency medicine. 

Highly recommended is to have already taken the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) before applying.  The GRE test is basically two different tests, which consist of the general test and the subject test in psychology.  The general test is three parts that include analytical writing, verbal and quantitative.  The GRE must not be more than five years old when applying.
