Before choosing to pursue this career at all you will want to see whether a health care related job is right for you.  Most advanced degree programs require an internship where you will gain some hands on experience in your field. Finally, after completing your required education you will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-Nursing Informatics specialized certification.
