Become a Personal Trainer in Connecticut - CT

The benefits of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle are undeniable.  The role of a personal trainer is to serve in assisting an individual in achieving his or her personal fitness goals.  This can be done in either an individual or group setting, utilizing science-based techniques in strength and endurance training, cardiovascular fitness, and flexibility.

Because of the rapid growth in the number of health clubs, fitness facilities, and the expansion of wellness programs, the US Bureau of Labor and Statistics projects that the growth in the number of jobs for personal trainers will be much greater than the average growth for all other occupations.  The projected growth in jobs for personal trainers over the next ten years is 27%.

Connecticut continues to be one of the most positive environments for personal trainers.  Those who are considering Connecticut personal trainer certification should know that it boasts one of the greatest average annual salaries in the nation, and also contains a metropolitan area with one of the top concentrations of personal trainers in the country.  Additionally, while 1.1 % of the population of the United States lives in Connecticut, 1.6% of the personal trainers in the US are employed in Connecticut.
