Coursework will include classes in general biology, chemistry, algebra, behavioral science, animal care, and laboratory work. Most programs also require students to take an unpaid internship of 20 hours or more with an established veterinary practice. This will give you real world, practical experience in the technology that you are studying, and will also make finding a job easier once you have graduated and taken the VTNE.
