There are a number of dental hygienist schools in Massachusetts. Options include community college, technical college, dental school or major university. Most dental hygiene programs take at least two years to complete but if you are pursuing a bachelor degree as well expect to be in school for four years. Some may require education beyond a high school level in order for admittance.

Massachusetts Dental Hygienist Continuing Education Requirements

The state of Massachusetts issues a two-year license to dental hygienist to be renewed on the odd years. In order to meet the requirements for the biennial renewal, dental hygienist must complete 20 hours of continuing education. These hours must be completed during the two calendar years preceding January 1st of the renewal year.
