Dental Hygienist School in South Dakota – SD


There are dental hygienist schools in South Dakota. You can either earn an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. There are certain courses that are prerequisites and there are also core courses that must be taken. Some of the courses are Principles of Radiography, Pharmacology, Histology/Oral Pathology, Dental Anatomy, and more.

South Dakota Dental Hygienist Continuing Education Requirements

In a five-year continuing education cycle, a dental hygienist must complete 75 hours of continued education, five of which must be in dental radiography. A CPR card must be maintained. The CPR card must come from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers or the American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer.
