The state of Tennessee issues two-year licenses to dental hygienists. Dental hygienists in Tennessee are required to fulfill 30 hours of continuing education during each renewal cycle. A minimum of two hours must be obtained in the area of chemical dependency education. Dental hygienist in Tennessee must also keep a current CPR card at all times.
