There are a wide variety of dental hygienist schools in Texas. Most of these programs are 2-3 year associate’s degree programs, although there are some bachelor’s degree programs as well.

Texas Dental Hygienist Continuing Education Requirements

All dental hygienist licensed in Texas must annually complete a minimum of 12 hours and keep their CPR certification up to date. Licensees who fail to complete the continuing education requirements will not be allowed to renew their license until the appropriate education is completed.
