Texas Dental Hygienist Continuing Education Requirements
All dental hygienist licensed in Texas must annually complete a minimum of 12 hours and keep their CPR certification up to date. Licensees who fail to complete the continuing education requirements will not be allowed to renew their license until the appropriate education is completed. Texas has a staggered license renewal system so now all licenses will expire at the same time. You may have to renew your license anywhere from 6 to 18 months after it is first obtained.Through campus based and online programs, aspiring Dental Hygienists in Houston, Dallas, Austin, Fort Worth, El Paso, Arlington, Corpus Christi, Plano, Laredo, Lubbock and Amarillo, Texas may be able to prepare themselves for the possibility of employment in some of the largest hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state including the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, Memorial Hermann Hospital, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital and Baylor Medical Centers.
