Vermont Dental Hygienist Continuing Educational Requirements
Vermont dental hygienists are issued a two-year license. In order to renew their license, dental hygienists must submit an application for renewal, along with the renewal fee and proof of current CPR certification, and proof of completion of the 15 continuing education hours required. Vermont is unique in its continuing education requirements in that the Vermont Board of Dental Examiners allows all hours to be completed through home study, if desired.Through campus based and online programs, aspiring Dental Hygienists in Burlington, Essex, Rutland and Colchester, Vermont may be able to prepare themselves for the possibility of employment in some of the largest hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state including the Fletcher Allen Health Care - Medical Center Campus, Rutland Regional Medical Center, Central Vermont Medical Center and Southwestern Vermont Health Care.
