There are several dental hygienist schools in Wyoming. One university in Wyoming offers a program in dental hygiene and a student earns not only an associate’s degree but also a bachelor’s degree. Prerequisites are required but the dental hygiene courses include clinical dental hygiene courses, Oral Pathology, clinical seminars, Oral Histology and Embryology, Community Dental Health, Office Practice, an education practicum, anesthesia education, and Periodontology.
Through campus based and online programs, aspiring Dental Hygienists in Cheyenne, Casper, Laramie, Gillette and Rock Springs, Wyoming may be able to prepare themselves for the possibility of employment in some of the largest hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state including the Campbell County Memorial Hospital, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, Saint John's Medical Center and Wyoming Medical Center.
