Find the right school for you
Dental schools in Indiana are going to lead students down an academic path that leaves them plenty of room for specialization and success. In general, dentists will learn how to diagnose and treat dental issues. Dentists also need to learn how to safely take x rays and run specific tissue tests.
Dentist schools in Indiana will teach students about specific Indiana laws related to the practice of dentistry as well as the trends in dental needs within specific areas of Indiana. Students will learn all aspects of dentistry, from cleaning gum lines to affixing veneers. They will have the opportunity to choose a specialization such as orthodontics or cosmetic dentistry. They may also choose to focus on a specific client demographic such as children or the elderly.
Students will get to learn about the latest in dental technology. From reconstructive surgery to laser whitening, a dentist will learn to promote dental health as the route to overall good health, using the dental specialty of their choosing.
Once dentists have achieved licensure in Indiana, they need to use continuing credit hours to display their ongoing interest and knowledge in the field of dentistry. These continuing credit hours will serve the purpose of meeting licensing renewal criteria as well as allowing dentists to narrow their focus if they choose to pursue a specialty.
