An average District of Columbia radiology tech salary is $73,000, which places it at 21% higher than the national average (Indeed.com).  This figure falls just below the 90th percentile nationally (Bureau of Labor Statistics) for the profession.   In order to increase this salary, a radiology technologist can further his/her education either by achieving a higher degree or through completing advanced certifications in specialty fields such as mammography or sonography.  Additionally, years of experience in the profession and administrative positions (manager, director, etc) also will lead to an increase in salary beyond the figure listed above.
