Physician Assistant Education in Georgia - GA

Accredited training programs offered through physician assistant schools in Georgia include in-depth curriculums to prepare students to become a licensed Physician Assistant. The curriculum for the first year of training includes courses in Systemic Anatomy, Medical Communications and Terminology, and Genetics, as well as Introduction to Clinical Medicine. Other first year courses involve Human Physiology, Physical Assessment, Clinical Skills, and Surgery. The total credited hours for the first year equal to 54.

The second year of training through a physician assistant university in Georgia equals to 55 credited hours. The required courses include Clinical and Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatric Practicum. Ob/GYN Practicum and Behavioral Medicine are also covered. The remaining courses include those of the first year only in the advanced form.
