Herbalist Certification in South Carolina - SC

Herbal Medicine Degrees in South Carolina

There is a growing trend among people who want to take responsibility for their own health. This proactive approach to health and wellness includes good nutrition, active lifestyle changes, and alternative approaches to health care. Many people are choosing to seek a more natural route to health, and because of this, according to the South Carolina Chapter of Certified Natural Health Professionals (CNHP), “there is a growing need for qualified natural health professionals with expertise in alternative medicine.” The schools that exist to fill this void in natural health education are often found in online certification programs or in educational facilities in Columbia, Charleston, North Charleston and Greenville.

Herbalist certification in South Carolina can be approached by different means. One certification program offered by the CNHP requires you to complete 5 Certified Natural Health Professionals Institute seminars. Each seminar requires “thirteen hours of study, classroom participation and practical demonstration”. At the end of each seminar, you must take and pass an exam. Once you have completed these five courses, you will be designated as a Certified Natural Health Professional in South Carolina. To maintain your CNHP certification in South Carolina, you will need to complete one advanced capstone-training curriculum each year.
