Homeopathy Course in Kentucky - KY
Homeopathy courses in Kentucky can be taken online from a variety of sources. Prerequisite classes can be taken as part of the requirements for an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Some programs require at least an associate’s degree prior to enrollment. The level of homeopathic education desired will determine to some extent the level of education needed before admission to the program. A certificate in homeopathic first aid, for example, will not require the extent of prerequisite coursework as does a doctorate in homeopathic treatment.
Some of the foundational courses that are beneficial include botany, biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, and psychology. Some programs also require CPR certification. Upon completion of an advanced degree in homeopathic treatments, a student will have had several thousand hours of education in sciences, homeopathy, and clinical training. Once the educational requirements are fulfilled, students can take certification exams. Ongoing education in homeopathy is required to maintain certification. Continuing education units are earned by attending seminars or conferences in Kentucky; writing and publishing articles or books; completing research projects; or various other activities that further the study and practice of homeopathy.
Homeopathy falls under the umbrella of complementary and alternative medicine. As with most CAMs, important qualities to have include critical thinking, good judgment, maturity, and the ability to observe, assess, and treat clients with empathy and care.
