How to Become a Psychologist in Nebraska

To apply for a Psychology license in the state of Nebraska, you will need to contact the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs department of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, or NDHHS.  Through the NDHHS website, there is an application that you are to download, complete, and return.  The application is a very straightforward document, simply asking the applicant whether or not you have fulfilled the requirements to allow you to receive a license to practice Psychology.  First, have you earned at least a doctorates degree from a Psychology program that has been accredited through the American Psychological Association?  Next, have you completed the necessary two years of supervised experience after receiving your doctorates degree?  Lastly, have you taken and passed The Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology, or EPPP?  After you have submitted the application to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, you will be asked to complete an exam for the NDHHS.  This examination has 2 parts. The first part has 106 questions that cover HIPPA, Ethics, Forensics, Regulations, and Research.  The second part is an oral examination with five questions.
