There are a few dental assistant schools in Idaho. Most of these include certificate programs that last 9-12 months and provide a thorough training on how to pursue this career. Dental assistants are not required by the state of Idaho to complete any continuing education. Dental assistants who choose to become certified to perform expanded functions must keep their certification current and meet the requirements to do so.
