Radiology Tech Certification in Indiana – IN

The American Registry of Radiology Technologists is the agency for which you will be testing in an attempt to receive your professional certification. There is not a separate Indiana radiology technician certification. The given test is designed so that an accurate identification of your academic knowledge in regards to radiology can be determined. The test will also delve into medical jargon and will require a mandatory aptitude for the scope of a radiology technician. Because you cannot be licensed in Indiana without the passage of this test, it is utterly important that you prepare and commit to passing it.

Successfully passing the test will allow you to be identified as a radiology technician, which is your ultimate goal here. In that State of Indiana, you cannot use this title in practice unless you are certified by the ARRT.

The examination fee is $200 and should be paid directly to the American Registry of Radiology Technologists. Not passing this test is not only harmful to the state licensing process, but it can also cost you a lot of extra money. The cost for each time you retake the test is $175. For that reason, it is best that you do everything possible to pass the test the first time around.

After you have received certification and are actively practicing as a radiology technician, you will need to have your certification renewed with the ARRT every two years. In order to renew your status, you must have a minimum of 24 credit hours of continuing education.
