Find employment as a CNA in Maryland. This task is expected to become increasingly easier as job positions open up as a result of CNA career growth in the coming years. The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics has announced its prediction that CNAs nationwide will experience an 18% spike in employment growth between 2008 and 2018.

This percentage is in comparison will all other average growth rates for occupational outlooks combined. As with most health care professionals, most job opportunities are more widely available in more metropolitan regions of Maryland where higher volumes of the population reside in hospitals and nursing homes where CNAs are typically employed. However, increased job availability does not necessarily equal higher salary incomes. Right now, CNAs across the United States are earning approximately $27,000/yr. Locally, CNAs working in Maryland earn average salaries that reflect this figure. In fact, CNAs employed in larger Maryland cities are even earning higher than average salaries.

Baltimore, Maryland CNA Salary:  $28,000/yr
Frederick, Maryland CNA Salary:  $28,000/yr
Rockville, Maryland CNA Salary:  $31,000/yr
Bowie, Maryland CNA Salary:  $31,000/yr
Annapolis, Maryland CNA Salary:  $27,000/yr
