Only physician assistant programs in Massachusetts that are accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant qualify graduates to take the national PA certification.  There are three accredited physician assistant programs in Massachusetts.  They all offer Master-level degrees and require a Baccalaureate degree and science pre-requisites prior to admission.  Pre-requisites may include human physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, and psychology. The programs typically range from 24-30 months of full time attendance, and include classroom instruction as well as clinical rotations.
