Continuing Education as a Massage Therapist in the State of Maine

As massage therapists in the state of Maine must renew their licenses once a year, it is not only important for massage therapists to take classes in which to continue their education, it is actually required by the NCBTMB.  The NCBTMB requires a massage therapist to take forty-eight hours of continuing education every six years.  Continuing education classes are very often available through institutions that provide massage therapy training in Maine.  A further requirement is that at least six of those hours are taken in an ethics course.  These forty-eight hours can be taken through any NCBTMB approved school, though the NCBTMB also accepts hours taken online by certain sites and services.
