• American Massage Therapy Association:  This organization provides many services to its members and to those interested in joining the field.  They offer information on how to become credentialed and provide information on educational institutions, and for members it offers many continuing education opportunities.  Like many other national organization, it represents its members when there are legislative concerns affecting the profession.

• Massage Therapy Foundation:  This organization is made up of massage therapists, educators, vendors of massage therapy products, as well as individuals currently in massage therapy training in New Jersey, and the entire US.  It supports research in order to further the scientific basis of the profession.  Members can use its online databases to research topics of interest or follow the current literature in the International Journal of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork: Research, Education, & Practice (IJTMB) which the Massage Therapy Foundation publishes.
