Medical Technologist Programs and Certification in Minnesota

Earn a Bachelor’s Degree from a school with a Medical Technologist training program that has been accredited through The National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or NAACLS.  In Minnesota, medical technologist certification is granted on a national level through NAACLS

The coursework associated with Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology training is not a light load by any means.  After fulfilling the school’s general education requirements, individuals seeking to complete the Medical Technologist training program will begin focusing heavily on sciences including biology, chemistry, microbiology, virology, and molecular diagnostic testing.  Throughout the training program, future Clinical Laboratory Scientists will spend plenty of time in actual laboratory settings, gaining experience hours and practicing to become Medical Technologists in Minnesota.  On graduation day, individuals enrolled in the Medical Technologist training program will meet the minimum educational and experience hours required to apply for one of the national certification examinations.
