An x-ray tech salary in Minnesota is typically about $48,000 per year. Theoretically, there are several factors that can ultimately affect how much you earn each year. The factor of greatest impact initially will be experience. As a new graduate, you will be looking for an employment opportunity to help you build your level of experience. Once you do gain a level of experience, however, you will not only become more valuable to your employer, you will also establish a length of time with your employer, which can help you to achieve seniority and earn a higher salary.

Because health care is such a rapidly growing profession and human necessity, there should be lucrative amounts of opportunity for new radiology technicians n Minnesota. In fact, the Bureau of Labor and Statistics has projected a 17% rise in radiology technician jobs between 2008 and 2018, with the need stemming from the aging population. With this type of projected growth, there is significant leeway for the recent graduate to earn their experience.

One of the other aspects that will determine your salary is where you live in the State of Minnesota. Larger metropolitan areas appear to pay their technicians slightly more annually, largely in part due to larger populations.

The list below shows the salaries of various cities throughout Minnesota:

  • Minneapolis: $44,000
  • St. Paul: $45,000
  • Duluth: $43,000
  • Rochester: $45,000
