Education Requirements for a Registered Nurse in Mississippi

Mississippi RN schools offer nursing programs that include classroom lectures and clinical experience in hospitals and other healthcare organizations. Coursework, for both an associate’s and a bachelor’s degree in nursing includes: anatomy, microbiology, chemistry, physiology, nutrition, psychology and other behavioral sciences and nursing, as well as other liberal arts courses. Clinicals are conducted in a hospital setting. Likewise, if you have a BSN, you may want to specialize in, for example, med/surge nursing, so you would attend a training program that will help you become a registered med/surge nurse. There are many ways to further your education within the nursing field; you just need to speak to people within the field to get a sense as to what their degree has awarded them.
