In Missouri, medical technologist certification is the last and final step to beginning a career in laboratory technology. The first step to becoming eligible for certification is education. Although the State of Missouri is currently trying to enact a law regarding state licensure for medical technologists, there is no current licensing requirement, which makes certification that much more important.

To be considered employable and certifiable, you will need to have a bachelor degree or higher. The bachelor degree is a 4-year program that provides students with a comprehensive knowledge base and the necessary tools to begin working in the field.
