Physician Assistant Education in Missouri - MO

Without attending one of the accredited physician assistant schools in Missouri, a student will simply not be able to act or work in this profession. There is too much knowledge and responsibility required of a physician assistant that maintains the need for a solid educational background.
A student in Missouri looking into being a physician assistant will have to have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in medicine or science to be eligible for this profession. While most physician assistants hold a master’s degree earned through one of a number of physician assistant schools in Missouri, a bachelor’s degree is suitable to the profession. The point is that your education should be extensive, thorough and accredited.
It is important to remember that education is never over for a physician assistant. The NCCPA requires recertification and continuing education credits in order to continue working as a certified physician assistant. Likewise, the state of Missouri requires recertification in order to stay licensed in the state.
Through campus based and online programs, aspiring Physician Assistants in Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield and Independence, Missouri may be able to prepare themselves for the possibility of employment in some of the largest hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state including the St. Johns Mercy Medical Center, St. Anthony’s Medical Center, Barnes Jewish Hospital and Missouri Baptist Medical Center.
