Montana Dental Assistants Schools


The educational path for dental assistants includes a high school curriculum that is weighted with biology, chemistry, and math is the best way to start. Beyond these classes, dental assistants do not have to complete any additional education unless they choose to do so. It is not required in Montana. However, by earning a certificate in this field, it may provide a competitive edge and make one more marketable. Typically these programs last 9-12 months. Montana Dental Assistant Continuing Education Requirements

Dental assistants do not have to meet any continuing educational requirements in Montana. If they choose to become certified in additional specialties, then additional educational or recertification requirements may have to be met.

The American Dental Assistants Association offers a wide variety of continuing education opportunities for dental assistants in the United States. The courses will prove beneficial and keep dental assistants up-to-date on the latest advances in the field. Without seeking additional education, there is very little room for advancement for dental assistants.
