Medical Laboratory Tech Salaries in New Jersey

The 2008 Wage and Salary Survey conducted by ASCP found that the average salary for certified medical technicians was $38,438. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) shows an annual salary of $35,400. These slight differences may be because the ASCP survey is sent only to their certified members. According to the BLS, 2008 salaries for New Jersey were somewhat higher at $41,100, making it the seventh highest state when comparing median salaries. Entry-level salaries started at $27,500, with $61,500 for more experienced technicians.
