Nurse practitioner (NP) is a venerable profession comprising of advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) that have undergone instructional and clinical background in this designated specialty area. The minimum requirement for becoming an NP is a valid Registered Nurses (RN) license, completion of a master’s degree in an accredited nursing program and passing the national level certification examination.
