Nurse Practitioner Salaries in South Carolina - SC

A nurse practitioner salary in South Carolina varies according to a number of variables including years of experience, work setting, and specialty.  A recent search (January 2011) turned up the following:  Indian Health Services, posting in Rockhill advertised a salary range of  $68,809 to $89,450.   Kaye Bassmahn International, posting for either nurse practitioners or physician assistants in the Charleston area, listed a salary rage of $70,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and area of specialty.

The Labor Bureau lists nurse practitioners as registered nurses. As with most professions, salary scales go up with years on the job; nurse practitioners and other advance practice nurses should expect to find themselves on the higher end of the salary scale after accounting for other factors. The Labor Bureau lists a mean salary of $57,210 for registered nurses in South Carolina who are at the 50th percentile and $78,060 for registered nurses at the 90th percentile.
