Pursuing a career as a nurse practitioner in Vermont requires completing a Masters of Science in Nursing. Before acceptance into nurse practitioner schools in Vermont, individuals usually hold a bachelor’s in science and an RN certification. It is also possible to pursue a MSN with a non-science bachelor’s, with the fulfillment of prerequisites.

The program to achieve an MSN takes anywhere from two-to-four years, depending upon the specialty chosen and whether or not the program is offered on an accelerated track.
