Continuing Your Education
Education is, without a doubt, the building block of your career and of being effective in your career, which is both the CNCB and the CBNS require you to continue your education so that your certification can be kept current. The career fields of health, medicine, and nutrition are fast paced and very closely related. As one field changes, it is like the other will as well. For that reason, you must keep abreast of all technological and scientific changes as they occur.
To meet this requirement, a CCN should have no less than 40 credits for every two years; a CNS should have 75 credits for every five years. After this requirement has been met, you will be eligible for recertification.
