Continuing Education

As a certified medical assistant (CMA) you will need to complete 60 continuing education units (CEUs) every 5 years in order to have your certification remain in good standing with the American Association of Medical Assistants. Connecting up with your local affiliate in Ohio of the Ohio State Society of Medical Assistants will allow you the opportunity to participate in continuing education training and coursework that will be accepted by the AAMA.
