Ohio Radiology Technician Continuing Education

Continuing Education credits for Ohio Radiology Technicians includes 12 classroom hours of course study in an Ohio Department of Health approved program every two years. Courses include study in radiation safety and other related areas pertaining to professional growth.

In Ohio it is necessary to complete an approved Ohio Radiology Tech School. There are both associate’s and bachelor’s level programs. There are several Ohio radiology technician schools as well as a plethora of online degree and certificate program options. If one plans on advancing into a supervisory position in the future, they may opt for a bachelor’s degree. If he/she plans to stay working in patient care for the duration of their career, an associate’s degree should be sufficient.

Through campus or online programs, aspiring Radiology Technicians in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, Akron and Dayton, Ohio may be able to prepare themselves for the possibility of employment in some of the largest hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state including the Akron City Hospital, The Cleveland Clinic and the many University Hospitals and Mercy Hospitals.
