The quickest way to locate pediatric nurse practitioner programs in Georgia is by researching private and state universities in Atlanta, Columbus, Augusta, Macon, Valdosta, Albany, Savannah, and Athens. Here, students will have access to a diverse selection of pediatric nursing degrees and certificates that often lead to national certification and promising career paths.

Those looking to enter into a master’s degree program can choose from these popular options: Master of Science in Nursing: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care, Master of Science in Nursing Primary Care, and Master of Science in Nursing: Child Health Clinical Nurse Specialist/Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. There are also two bridge degrees programs available for students that are already licensed as registered nurses. These are both RN-MSN accelerated degrees with specialty options in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner: Primary Care and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner: Acute Care.

Although less common, Georgia students can also earn a Post-Master’s Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate. Eventually, however, pediatric nursing students are advised to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Even though this degree is definitely found in classroom-based programs, many students juggling work and school prefer to enroll in one of the great online schools offering Doctor of Nursing Practice or Bachelor of Science in Nursing to Doctor of Nursing Practice: Pediatric Acute Care Practitioner (accelerated) degrees.
