The entire healthcare system in the United States is under pressure from congress for total reformation.  There is a lot of change expected in the near future and a successful healthcare administrator will be able to accommodate these changes in a fluid manor with minor disruption to the daily flow of the healthcare facility.

These changes in Pennsylvania will center on increased support for preventative care along with the integration of healthcare delivery systems and an increased focus on assimilating the most advanced medical technology.  In addition, the regulatory measures of healthcare on a state and federal level continue to become more demanding, putting more pressure on healthcare administrators to manage their facilities in accordance with a greater number of laws.  A successful administrator will be technologically savvy and be able to demonstrate their ability to incorporate new policy into existing medical practices.

Healthcare administration jobs in Pennsylvania have a positive outlook, making this career choice with a promising future.  Most of these positions will be available in the more metropolitan areas of Pennsylvania including Philadelphia, Pittsburg, Allentown, and Erie where most of the hospitals and larger medical facilities are located.  Some of the medical facilities that currently have a need for administrators and managers are Albert Einstein Medical Center, University of Pittsburg Medical Center, Saint Luke’s Hospital, and Temple University Hospital.
