Professional Organization for Respiratory Therapists in the Pennsylvania:
Pennsylvania Society for Respiratory Care (PSRC):  Pennsylvania’s affiliate arm of the American Association for Respiratory Care (see below) was started in 1980 and represents the state’s Respiratory Therapists. The group helps educate professionals and the public on topics pertinent to RTs in Pennsylvania, and helps promote related legislation to the Assembly in Harrisburg and in Congress.

American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC):  More than 37,000 American respiratory care professionals comprise this advocacy group of RTs, nurses, doctors, lab technicians, medical equipment specialists and other interested individuals. As the larger, parent group over PSRC and other state-specific Respiratory Care organizations, AARC focuses more on a national agenda and beyond.  The related International Council on Respiratory Care further seeks to educate practitioners and patients around the world and promote Respiratory Care, healthy habits and prevention of disease.
