Continuing Education in California
As a professional psychologist, licensed in the state of California you must meet the continuing education requirements to continue to renew your license. Specifically, according to the California Board of Psychology 36 contact hours of qualifying continuing education is required every two calendar years and must also be completed the two years previous to the expiration of current license. www.bls.gov
California Psychologist Associations
California Psychological Association, a non-profit organization established in 1948 for licensed psychologists, students who have declared their psychology major in California, and other associated professionals. The goals of the organization include: acting as a resource for practitioners in California; sponsoring legislation and working closely with the legislative branch of California government as it pertains to the field; providing public service programs. Local chapters of the California Psychology Association can be found all throughout California.
