At the completion of the 4,000-hour residency leading to a psychology degree in Utah, all supervisors involved must submit “Verification of Supervised Experience” forms to The Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOLP). The applicant cannot complete these forms. Psychology residents must also submit a $200 licensing fee to complete the application. After this application is submitted, residents will be allowed to sit for the Examination for the Professional Practice of Psychology (EPPP), which is administered by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB).
Continuing Education and Renewal of Licensure for Psychologists in Utah
Psychology licenses are renewed every even-numbered year on September 30th. For all individuals holding a psychology degree in Utah. No renewal fee is required; however, every year professional psychologists must complete 48 hours of continuing education. If a license is first granted during the regular licensing period, the continuing education credits will be prorated for the first licensing term. More information on continuing education may be found at the UPA and APA websites given above. However, all continuing education courses must be approved by the DOPL.
