Texas Psychology Schools – TX

Those considering attending one of the psychology schools in Texas will be excited to learn that at $30.14 per hour, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that psychologists in Texas make more money per hour than psychologists in all but 11 states. What’s more, psychologists in Texas make an average of 43 percent more per hour than the average Texas employee – a gap wider than all states except Arkansas, Virginia, and North Carolina.

The Texas Psychological Association (TPA) has a primary goal of stimulating knowledge and interest of psychology to the general public through its foundation entity, the Texas Psychological Foundation. The foundation’s goals include:
- Encourage development and design of new programs and techniques for offering sound psychological services in industries, schools, institutions, and the overall community.
- Advocate and sponsor applied and basic psychological research programs.
- Acknowledge excellence and accomplishments in graduate training by offering fellowships, scholarships, and awards.
- Create programs and materials for the improvement of professional education in the psychological field.
- Promote and encourage publication and sponsorship in the psychological field.
