An applicant also must have participated in a full-time training practicum of 1400 hours lasting approximately nine months. Both oral and written examinations must be passed in order to meet the criteria for becoming certified. One must have completed all necessary coursework before applying to take the examination. Examinations are held at the Examiners’ main office in Bismarck four times each year. The fee to take the examination is $110.
