The Tennessee Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association are both excellent resources for students and professionals alike.  Each is a membership driven organization that is overseen by a board of directors selected for office by the members themselves.   Information on a variety of topics, including issues affecting the profession, journal articles, continuing education opportunities, scholarship and award offerings, and marketing the profession to the public are all available either on the web or by contacting the associations directly.  Membership dues are charged and the amounts are dependent on your level of membership (i.e. student, licensed, retired).
