Between each renewal period, you must meet one the following requirements:

  • Have completed 20 hours Continuing Education Credits (CEC)
  • And/or maintain a current certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
In other words, Pharmacy Technicians that remain certified through PTCB will not be subject to CEC audits by TSBP.  If a technician does not maintain their certification with PTCB, then the technician will have to continue earning 20 CEC’s, and will be responsible for maintaining that information for their own records and future audits.
