Physician Assistant Education in Texas - TX
The long horn state requires the completion of an accredited program offered by physician assistant schools in Texas. Students applying to such programs typically have a college degree and some health-related work experience. Degrees in pre-med or science fields are preferred. Full-time students can usually complete a physician assistant education program in two years.
Education programs for physician assistants will include classroom and laboratory instruction as well as clinical rotations. The Texas Physician Assistant Association lists the following courses as included in accredited programs offered by physician assistant schools in Texas:

Most physician assistants will be awarded a master’s degree upon completion of the above education.
